syslog excerpt
I noticed the session termination too. I'm using KDE Neon User edition.
I attached a syslog excerpt (a few irrelevant lines of personal info removed).
It starts from packagekitd preparing sddm, then somewhere after it's making
settings for sddm, x11 dies and systemd stops sddm. packagekitd finishes
installing sddm and sddm is started again.
