I tested it on Windows and with the AppImage (virtual machine with Lubuntu
20.04) 20.12.2:
Drag/drop the file "
Erik_Satie_-_gymnopedies_-_la_1_ere._lent_et_douloureux.ogg" into the timeline.
Shorten it to 20 seconds. Render it out as MP3. No crash.
I guess it's your openSUSE Tumbleweed. Try to upgrade to the latest version.
