Bug ID: 433784 Summary: Asking identifiers while accessing SMB Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: pingo-po...@hotmail.fr CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When entering a detected SMB server or a manually added one, it doesn't work because the server asks for identifiers. And I guess that Dolphin sends automatically UNIX account identifiers instead of prompt the user. For example in OS X, Finder asks if we want to enter identifiers or access as guest, and like that it work just fine STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Access SMB server (auto-detection, manually, whatever) in Dolphin 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Access is denied EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin asks if we want to use credentials or enter as guest, and it works SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: Arch (so all latest stable) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
