STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a long back and forth email thread
2. Attempt to reply

OBSERVED RESULT
After the thread grows, opening it in the editor and just typing in the editor
becomes painfully slow. The system I am running this on is a 12 core AMD
Threadripper with 128GiB of RAM with NVME storage. The thread that is currently
giving my grief is 16 messages deep and is 5616 lines long.
EXPECTED RESULT
There should be no long delays.
