Hi, in case someone find this useful, this also works for me.
NO ibus package installed, just:
pacman -Qs ibus
local/libibus 1.5.23+3+gaa558de8-3
QT_IM_MODULE=ibus
or just
QT_IM_MODULE=
in /etc/environment.
both are valid workarounds.
