Manually executing "systemctl suspend-then-hibernate" does the right thing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable "While asleep,hibernate after a period of inactivity" in Energy Saving 2. Select "Sleep" for the option "When laptop lid closed" 3. Close lid OBSERVED RESULT Laptop goes to sleep, and stays in that state. EXPECTED RESULT Laptop goes to sleep, wakes after 10sec (HibernateDelaySec=10sec) to hibernate.
