I observed this occurring with "Fall Apart" and "Sheet", not sure if it happens
with more effects than that.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the kwin effects kcm
2. Turn on an effect like "Sheet" or "Fall Apart"
3. Click "Apply"
4. Try to open "Get New Desktop Effects..."
Initially it happened when switching those effects on, but now, it happens for
me when turning them off before hitting Apply.
