Bug ID: 431857 Summary: icons-only task manager forgets unpinned icons upon reboot/sessions Product: plasmashell Version: 5.20.5 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: h...@kde.org Reporter: arobertk...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY The icons only task manager, when default PINNED apps such as dolphin in manjaro, etc, are unpinned, they are back upon next session after reboot. Task manager also has issue disappearing after using edit mode to adjust, move or resize the spacer and minimized app can only be recovered using switcher or invoke alt+tab. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Unpin default app icons 2. Enter edit mode for icons only task manager and move/resize spacer, rearrange any open or pinned task to left or right of spacer, or even sys tray. 3. Attempt to minimize and recover windows, reboot or restart session. OBSERVED RESULT Minimized apps will no longer be visible, must use alt+tab to recover. System tray applet is in different state or position, previously unpinned apps reappear on new session and must unpin again. EXPECTED RESULT minimized apps to remain in task manager, unpinned apps to not reappear, not to have to use edit mode upon each login to reset desired state of toolbars, widgets etc. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.9.16-1-Manjaro (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
