It is inevitable to use mobile app stores as a comparison and they all seem to
at least rotate their recommendations, when they're not directly tailored to
the user. The latter would probably be a bit difficult to implement, though I'm
not a developer so I might be wrong. One idea that pops into my mind is that
Discover could rotate between lists at each launch; it would be great if lists
could be published periodically and updated from repos to add to previously
published ones. The possibility of adding new lists would also mean that
distributions could publish their own custom lists. This is a very rough idea,
of course, but it would allow some flexibility.
I agree with Michael in saying that having more sections would be beneficial
and help the discovery of new applications.
