Maybe similar issue here. I have notebook and 2 external monitors connected via
docking station. My default config is that notebook display is disabled and I
only use external monitors. When I disconnect docking station, display is
correctly switched to notebook display. When I reconnect docking station,
plasma correctly switches to external monitors and for a brief time (maybe 1
second) I see output and then both external monitors turn black. Nothing I can
do but switch to another tty and reboot. However if I disconnect docking
station, plasma correctly switches to notebook display.
