Be in at least one channel that is getting frequent messages so you don't have to wait a lot :) 3. Select a *different* tab, maybe the server tab (the OSD doesn't appear for messages received in the currently selected channel tab, which makes a lot of sense, you're already reading that) 4. Right click the text input field, context menu appears 5. Wait for a channel to receive a message 6. OSD appears, context menu closes I now noticed this happens for top-level menus too (eg.
