Bug ID: 429370 Summary: Regression in Krita's Luminosity/Shine (Sai) Blending Mode in Krita 4.4.1 Product: krita Version: 4.4.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Color models Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: pinkn...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In Krita 4.4.1., the Luminosity/Shine (Sai) blending layer mode is not the same as to when the mode first came out in Krita 4.2.4. It creates a dull white, which dulls the design. I have reported this first on the krita-artists.org forum, where tiar looked it over and helped me to report it here, calling it a regression. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the file in Krita 4.4.1. 2. Draw with a 100% white while the layer blending mode is Luminosity/Shine (Sai). 3. The dull effect will appear. 4. Downgrade to Krita 4.2.4 5. Repeat step 2. 6. The original light effect will occur. OBSERVED RESULT Matte/dull white effect, which dulls the entire design EXPECTED RESULT Light shine effect from previous version, Krita 4.2.4 SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
