The playlist now has an "Undo" button every time is it cleared or replaced, so
hopefully this situation is not so dire anymore.
However I agree with you that we are missing the ability to very quickly play a
single song without affecting the playlist at all. I have often wanted this
while building a new playlist; I want to hear a few seconds of a song so I can
decide whether or not I want it in the playlist. But I can't do tihs without
adding it to the playlist or replacing the contents of the playlist, which
defeats the point. Perhaps we need some kind of "quick preview" or " play
immediately" functionality.
