Bug ID: 364512 Summary: Switching from 3 monitors to 2 monitors causes main panel to disappear Product: plasmashell Version: 5.6.95 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Desktop Containment Assignee: se...@kde.org Reporter: mishuga...@gmail.com I have a 3 monitor setup (LTR: HDMI, DVI, DVI) most of the time. My main panel is located on the rightmost monitor on the right side of the screen. When I use my HDMI switcher, my HDMI monitor (the leftmost) is removed as far as my main computer is concerned, so it enters a 2 monitor state. In this 2 monitor state, the main panel is completely missing. When I switch back to the 3 monitor state, the main panel is now on my middle monitor, and my right monitor is completely black (no desktop image, can't right click the desktop). The only way I've found to get the right monitor back to the way it should be is by killing plasmashell and restarting. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have 3 monitor setup. 2. Unplug left monitor 3. Unexpected monitor layout 4. Replug left monitor Actual Results: The activity bar is missing during step 3 completely. Expected Results: The activity bar should remain on my rightmost monitor throughout all the steps After the switch, my leftmost desktop (wallpaper and icons) is now on my rightmost monitor, although the windows in the previously center desktop are on my rightmost monitor. And all the windows from the leftmost monitor move to the now leftmost (previously center) monitor. But, the center monitor retains the same background. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
