Donno I've just tried to recreate this issue however I am not sure I am doing
the same as you.
- I mounted a folder over ssh with sshfs ip:/folder/ temp
- Opened a file from that temp folder in Kate
- Closed Kate and unmounted the temp folder
- Opened kate but no error
Do you have some sort of session load automatically at start of kate?
