Hi, my Nikon 800 cannot be mounted either even if usbview is showing correct
USB connection. For me i seems possible the the cause is a directory entry
/run/users/[your user id]/gvfs:

# ls -l 
ls: no access
d????????? ? ? ? ?           ? gvfs

which is created as I understand after user login. This entry is corrupting the
file system in this place. It is a catalog, has broken permitions and it cannot
be removed and moving it to another place doesn't help.
