No in both cases, the date string will become multi-line rather than getting
elided. When display a multi-line date string, the display options are:
1. Taller popup
2. shorter calendar view inside popup
We have to choose one. Right now we do #1, which you filed a bug report on. :)
So I gather you would prefer #2?
