Bug ID: 426846 Summary: Kstars doesn't scale properly on a phone screen Product: kstars Version: 3.4.3 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mutla...@ikarustech.com Reporter: darkmani...@posteo.net Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY This isn't so much a bug as a feature request. I'm using kstars on the Pinephone linux phone running Mobian (Debian for mobile), and have found it to be the best astronomy app for the phone. Thank you for making such a great product! My only problem is that the app doesn't scale properly on the small screen of a phone without some tweaks. It comes close, but some of the menus on the top bar are off the screen using the default setup. I can make it work by switching the phone to horizontal layout and setting the global "scale-to-fit" option in Phoc (the compositor) to "on," and then it works great. But the Purism developers of Phoc have told me they are going to remove the global scaling option sooner or later, and that I should report apps that don't scale properly on the phone to the developers. So I wanted to reach out and see if you would consider revising the app a bit to make it scale properly on screens that are smaller than your typical computer or tablet size. Please let me know if there's any information I can provide, or testing I can do, to help in this effort. Thank you.
