Tested with 20.08.1 linux distro package (arch): Confirmed. Tested with kdenlive-20.11.70-8a08988-x86_64.appimage: Confirmed. Tried to clean project cache to regenerate audio thumbnails, closing kdenlive and than reopening the project, but it will be regenerated out of sync again.
