I've been using it with 18.04 for a long time. I added the ppa repo and installed from there, and that is when it broke. So, I purged, remove the repo, and re-install from the ubuntu repo - no help. still have the issue. If you don't have any other reports of the file dialog window going transparent, it has to be some particular combination of upgrade, update, this repo that repo wakness particular to kde on my machine.
