This bug (corrupt project file) should be solved with the upcoming version
20.08.2. Please try with daily build which includes the fix:
https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Kdenlive_Nightly_mingw64/lastSuccessfulBuild/artifact/
BTW: I could open "First_Broken_Backup_Round
1-1598387533889-2020-09-01-17-30.kdenlive" with the daily build.
