Not really, I'm just asking for a simple “enable compressor” button (with
parameters adjustable in the plasmoid settings and a good default values set),
or to add a “compression” fader (that could work on ratio, threshold and makeup
gain at once as some cheap audio mixers do).
This is in order to offer a useful feature while maintaining good ease of use.
#378983 is asking to provide a list of plugins, which (IMHO) could be very
confusing in what is supposed to be a “simple” volume plasmoid.
Personally, I would implement that in a new, PulseEffect-like plasmoid.
