[krita] [Bug 425840] Whenever I attempt opening or creating a file, the program crashes. Krita will remain running and usable as long as the is no file loaded.

You shouldn't stay on canvas graphics acceleration disabled, if you can help
it. Please try to reinstall your graphics card drivers. Make sure your system
is fully updated, too.

I'm closing this bug report since it's not a problem in Krita, but you should
try to fix it using the tip above.
