            Bug ID: 425679
Summary: Selecting "Open in New Window" from place item context
menu doesn't (ask to) mount device
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 20.08.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: panels: places
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: cf...@kde.org
                CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. have an unmountable device in the places panel, e.g. an external HDD
2. make sure it is unmounted initially, or unmount it manually
3. right-click the item in the places panel for the unmounted device, and
select "Open in New Window"

OBSERVED RESULT
A new window opens with the Home folder

EXPECTED RESULT
A new window opens with the folder of the selected device, optionally asking
for any permissions to mount it.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I assume this is a bug and not intended, because both selecting "Open in New
Tab" as well as simply left-clicking the places item mounts the device before
it opens after asking for permission.
