I got bit when I used my laptop without my wireless mouse. KDE/Plasma is difficult to use sans pointer. I opened kcm_touchpad from Konsole kcmshell5 and managed to choose default, the only visible setting. Gone is my speech message proclaiming the mouse unplugged.
