Bug ID: 425426 Summary: Konversation could notify a user when a nickname is truncated because of server rules Product: konversation Version: 1.7.5 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konversation-de...@kde.org Reporter: alexander.shchadi...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 130916 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=130916&action=edit A screenshot showing a drop-down list with nicknames that will be truncated Konversation could launch a simple popup warning when a nickname is truncated because of NICKLEN server parameter. This will be especially helpful for an IRC novices like me - I think looking at a screenshot will be enough to understand why I felt a bit lost when clicking different nickname variants in a drop-down list. Those are default nicknames derived from a Linux username, the server had NICKLEN=16. This is not a bug, but a suggestion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
