Konqueror reports an error when opened with a blank URL - Unable to Create
io-slave

1. open Konqueror with blank URL

The requested operation could not be completed
Cannot Initiate the konq Protocol
Technical Reason: Unable to Create io-slave

Description:
The io-slave which provides access to the <strong>konq</strong> protocol could
not be started. This is usually due to technical reasons.

means you may have an outdated version of the plugin.
