I use openSUSE Leap v15.2 with KDE. I have found that these broken icons on
the Kontact sidebar have been this way since Leap v15.0.
I have tried uninstalling Kontact completely (with a reboot), and re-installing
through yaST/repositories and from the openSUSE Software page.
I have also tried using Kontact under freshly installed openSUSE machines;
including openSUSE Tumbleweed... the icons still appear broken.
