Thanks for the report. I fear this might be some snap package issue, as the
respective code has not been changed in ages and so far no-one has reported an
issue, or had I seen some problems myself when playing with color schemes.
So reassigning to snap authors.
The code rendering the "normal" bytes is in method
ByteArrayRowColumnRendererPrivate::renderPlain(...) here:

I will attach how things look for me with current Breeze Dark color scheme and
