Yes this is a known thing and it is by design. CMYK and RGB color spaces are
opposite of each other one is subtractive and the other is additive. So the
calculations show opposite result for the same blending mode. The documents
look fine in photoshop may be because photoshop reverses the calculation based
on the color profile used.

There was a discussion about this some time back and I think it was preferred
to keep the calculations intact and not show pseudo results.
