Bug ID: 424125 Summary: Toolbuttons are almost invisible when checked (or hovered). Product: frameworks-qqc2-desktop-style Version: 5.72.0 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: notm...@gmail.com Reporter: m...@flherne.uk CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 130069 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=130069&action=edit Comparison of Kirigami and Widgets checkable toolbuttons. SUMMARY When a checkable toolbutton is checked, the background is *very* slightly darker than normal (with both dark and light themes). With light themes the contrast is marginal and much less than Widgets apps. With dark themes there's effectively no contrast; it's virtually impossibe to see whether a button is checked. [In the screenshot, 'Edit' is unchecked and 'Show Numbers' is checked.] In Widgets, there's clear contrast for checked toolbuttons. May be related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384989 Hovered toolbuttons are also nearly invisible, unlike in Widgets where they have a border (or coloured background if checked); that may be the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415805 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a Kirigami app with checkable actions, or another QML app with checkable ToolButtons. 2. For worst results, use a dark theme. 3. Check a button. OBSERVED RESULT Button looks pretty much the same. EXPECTED RESULT Checked state looks different (e.g. like Widgets).
