Bug ID: 423115 Summary: Using GPU processing on AMD Radeon causes multiple crashes / corrupt video on render Product: kdenlive Version: 20.04.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: k...@pyoor.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 129455 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=129455&action=edit example of corrupt video output. SUMMARY Enabling GPU processing caused repeated crashes when navigating the timeline or playing back video, also produced corrupt video when rendering attempted. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enable GPU processing 2. Attempt to play video or move in timeline - frequent crashes 3. Press Render video OBSERVED RESULT Editing - turning on GPU processing having edited a video, just for export (as an experiment) produced video that was corrupt: Either as attached screenshot (frames from different tracks showing simultaneously) or at a transition from one track to another, the video would freeze but audio would continue. This appeared to only happen transitioning from the 4k mp4 sources to the 1080p mov sources, but would last until another mp4 source on another track started. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 20.04LTS (Ubunto Studio Focal Fossa) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: Xfce 4.14 KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AMD Radeon RX580 / Asus X570 Motherboard / Ryzen 5 processor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
