Bug ID: 423000 Summary: Testing kconf_update Product: KDE MediaWiki Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: schwanc...@protonmail.com Reporter: simg...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Page: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tools/Using_kconf_update I suggest adding to this page a section that explains how to test the .upd files when the application is installed in a custom prefix. In the article it is said that "Updating the configuration happens automatically, either when KDE gets started or when kded detects a new update file in the above mentioned location." It is not clear though how to make kded picks up files in another locations while testing an application. My scenario: - Manually compiled Okular (without kdesrc-build) - Installed Okular in a custom prefix - Used the prefix.sh script to configure the environment -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
