Bug ID: 422700 Summary: Rotated non primary display has to be reset after reboot. Product: plasmashell Version: 5.18.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Multi-screen support Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: linuxguy...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Rotated non primary display non functional after reboot and has to be reset to use. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up KDE with 2 screens. Primary screen is on the right. Other screen is on the left, rotated. 2. Reboot. OBSERVED RESULT First off, the login on the non primary screen is rotated sideways. On login the system doesn't recognize that the monitor is rotated and doesn't compensate. Secondly, after login the non primary screen is black, but not operating. The mouse will operate on the screen but KDE isn't operating on it and things like mouse clicks, etc. aren't acted upon. To get the non primary screen to operate, one needs to System Settings -> Display Configuration, unclick the rotated button and click the non rotated button and press apply. At this point KDE starts displaying and working on the monitor. Then press the rotated orientation button and Apply and everything works again. EXPECTED RESULT The screen should function properly after a reboot without any fiddling.
