The Kaffeine version you were using when this bug was reported is too old, and
your patch doesn't apply anymore, as there were lots of changes at the logic
that plays DVB.
We just released upstream a version 2.0.1, with is based on KDE5. Could you
please test the upstream version and see if the bug still happens there? The
README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at
our git repository:

As this BZ seems to be related with a too old version, I'm closing the bug. If
