--- Comment #3 from EddieB <fasteddieb...@gmail.com> --- I didn't get a chance to re-install kubuntu on my desktop pc, but I did install it on my laptop (Toshiba Qosmio x505) and it has the same issue, except it doesn't recover as well after restarting sddm (probably because it uses old Nvidia 340 driver).
