So I made a few slimming operations and tested the performance along the way which led me to interesting infos: I flattened the image -> still as slow I made the image 2/3 of the size, it got from 45 to 35 seconds I filled the layer with solid white -> saves in 1 or 2 seconds. This is proportional to the size of the file btw. So My guess is the more the final image is complex and fragmented, the slower it gets. The more solid color zones there are, the faster it is... I'm mailing you the flattened reduced file so it's a tad lower than 20 mb and fits gmail. (still the image is slow and complex -> 35 sec per save).
