            Bug ID: 421254
Summary: Optional mouse edge resistance between monitors
           Product: kwin
           Version: git master
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: emailic...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

The problems this would solve are the bad usability of scroll bars as well as
the difficulty of quick tiling on multi monitor systems.

How I imagine it should work is that we require the mouse cursor to be a
certain (configurable) speed on the transition to the next monitor or it will
be stopped. An alternative solution would be to require continuous movement for
a certain time in the direction of the monitor one wants to switch to -
possibly also disabled when the mouse cursor has a certain speed.

It should also be an option to only activate it when dragging a window, to make
quick tile easier while not annoying people that don't even use scroll bars.

This would solve bug 420927.

As this is more or less the same as bug 312281, should I have revived that old
thread instead?
