SUMMARY
The font size is not linked to a corresponding icon size. When a user changes
the icon size, he does so in 90% of the cases, for higher readability (impaired
vision, high DPI, etc). Only 10% will do so for enlarging of image thumbnails.
The result when resizing to maximum is just like the windows explorer:
superlarge icons, but still the small caption font size.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Resize icons (e.g. via zoom slider)
OBSERVED RESULT
Large icons, unchanged caption size
EXPECTED RESULT
Font resizing accordingly
