I must admit that I am confused about this report. It is still easily possible
to copy the path from the location bar - just click on it and you should be
able to do that. Maybe a screenshot of your issue would help?
(And regarding your scripting question: You can still easily create a Dolphin
service menu or plugin, which is at least as powerful for scripting as other
file managers.)
