This is the prerequisite that digiKam is not too "small" on a HiDPI screen. The digikam GUI scales in the same factor as the Windows GUI. We added that the digiKam automatically scales, it could also be set manually using an environment variable. But many users do not know it and have problems with digiKam on HiDPI screens.
