Bug ID: 420199 Summary: Shortcuts added in KMenuEdit don't work Product: plasmashell Version: 5.18.4 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: k...@trummer.xyz CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Shortcuts added in KMenuEdit for launching a program don't work. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. open kmenuedit 2. select any program entry 3. go to advanced tab, assign a shortcut 4. click apply 5. press newly assigned shortcut OBSERVED RESULT nothing happens EXPECTED RESULT program launches SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200414 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 Kernel Version: 5.6.2-1-default ADDITIONAL INFO I noticed that these shortcuts get added to "Global Shortcuts" in Systemsettings - Shortcuts - Global Shortcuts - Application launchers. There is also a Systemsettings - Shortcuts - Own Shortcuts - KMenuEdit. When manually adding shortcuts there, they work. I have no idea what the difference between those two things is. Also for some reason, the predefined shortcuts in "Global Shortcuts", like Meta-E for Dolphin, work, but none of the custom ones. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
