I have a similar issue. Could not create @kdetalk.net accounts with telepathy
(with account-kcm and accounts-signon and auth-handler installed). After
creating the account (with or without the option "connect when wizard is
finished), it is present in the account list but nothing happens. When I then
use the dropdown menu and select "availalbe", it tries to connect and ask for a
password but the password I entered when creating the account doesn't work.
I had to use pidgin to create an account and then it works straight away on
telepathy.
