Bug ID: 419491 Summary: Dolphin preferences thinks Trash folder is my root folder Product: dolphin Version: 17.12.3 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: markjball...@googlemail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install Dolphin from apt repository on Ubuntu 2. open Dolpin config 3. select Wastebin OBSERVED RESULT Dolphin lists two paths under 'Wastebin': """ / /media/username/datadir """ The second of these is a directory of data connected by an external drive. I cannot edit these paths, nor remove them, nor add to them. Ultimately, it means cannot use Dolphin at all. I can't risk proceeding if it thinks my root and data folders are its trash dir. EXPECTED RESULT It should list my trash folder: ~/.local/share/Trash It should also give me the option to add, remove and edit entries.
