Addendum to my last comment yesterday: Those grey/yellow/white geometric distortions/colored fields (https://abload.de/thumb/desktop6k8jb2.png) are also removed when I keep the Compositor activated and choose XRender instead of OpenGL 3.1/2.0 (irrespective of the rendering backend in Plasma Renderer settings).
