I tried opening multi-volume zip in Ark and it works for me.
What Ark plugins are you using?
(In Ark settings, you should see various plugins in the "Plugins" tab: Bzip2
plugin, Gzip plugin, Info-zip plugin, etc. Please tell us what plugins have
been selected.)
