[kdenlive] [Bug 418988] The timeline won't show video thumbnails even though it's been already enabled. When I play the project preview, it plays the clip I inserted but I'm not able to see it on the timeline.

Do you drag/drop the mp4 clip into the timeline? 
If so delete the kdenliverc file as descripted here:
