I am actually using it this way on Wayland and working ( meaning it shows the launchers of current activity, but also running apps of all activities/virtual desktops ). This is working by just filtering tasks by "current activity" only, and of course only on wayland. The only nitpick i would prefer, would be that other activities launchers when running would be placed on a special place ( most right side or left side ) and not in the middle of the taskmanager area ( where they are positioned if I remove the "currenct activity filter" ).
