Every time a mount or unmount occurs, memory consumption of running dolphin processes goes up by typically more than 200 K. With several automounters using idle timeouts for NAS exports and several running dolphins this sums up quite fast. As told in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398908#c45, this is not specific to the NAS exports (NFS) but can be provoked identically by mounting and unmounting a USB flash drive.
