            Bug ID: 418774
Summary: KRA file won't open once its file size surpasses 10MB
           Product: krita
           Version: 4.2.8
          Platform: Windows CE
                OS: MS Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: col...@hotmail.co.jp
  Target Milestone: ---

There's not much I can provide, since Krita closes instantly without leaving
any meaningful backtraces

SUMMARY

Krita not being able to open a KRA file above the size of 10MB. The same KRA
file opens without issue with version 4.2.7.1. Once the KRA file size is
reduced under 10MB by removing some layers using version 4.2.7.1, version 4.2.8
will load the file normally again.

This KRA file does not include anything special, just around 40 layers with
drawings and imported png files (none of them being larger than 1000x1000
pixels)

Krita with the debug package being installed won't output any backtraces after
this crash.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Insert images until the KRA save file gets larger than 10MB
2. Save the project in KRA format
3. Close Krita normally
4. Open the KRA file (double clicking the KRA file, and launching Krita first
and then opening the KRA file will not make any difference)

OBSERVED RESULT

Krita immediately crashing as soon as the program finishes loading bundles,
resources, and main window without any dialog boxes appearing. When Krita is
launched first with the KRA file opened afterwards, Krita closes as soon as the
file is clicked.

EXPECTED RESULT

The KRA file opening normally, and being able to continue working on the
project.
